The felt as a handicraft that is the subculture product in the collection in Topkapi Palace Museum has been exhibited with topical drawings manufactured in Anatolia. This handicraft forgetten in time tunnel has changed the destiny of forgetten melodies as reaching universality from local accumulation. Not only has the group in Topkapi palace Museum encompassed this project , but also presented the reflection of the wealth from the past.

ANATOLIAN FELT - MAKERS

Felt-makers in Türkiye have to struggle to stand despite felts cultural and historical wealth in Türkiye. There are only 20 felt-makers in Anatolia now. Most of them have been working in commercial managements. The felt has been steel produced to make a contribution to the life by migratory groups , especially by women.

They were the felt makers who founded the Tradesmen Solidarity Association first in 12th century. They were also the forunders of "Ahilik" that represents the spirit of btorherhood and solidarity in Anatolia . You can still see the effects of Ahilik on felt -makers . The felt makers never take "a copyright " for a design. They don't even imitate one another according to an unvoiced agreement The impurtance of local values has risen to culture identity in the global world. Felt conveys our cultural and historical values. The tradition of "Ahilik is an important example of trade ethics risen in Anotolia , because the Ahilik values like being honest / honesty and ethics ; being generous / transparency ; being open-handed /sharing something with somebody ; devotion / not being avaricious and loyalty to wife / preventing the degeneration in society aggre on qualified management.
